As a means of exploring humanity's place within the universe I find it necessary within my work to question the anthropocentric precepts which often govern our experience and understanding of reality. The subject matter for my work therefore often allows phenomena beyond direct human experience to determine or define the outcome of a piece of work. I have used the rotational periods of Neutron Stars to describe my own body’s bio rhythms, mimicked the orbital nature of planetary bodies within the city environment, and most recently used the path of the Sun across the sky to direct the content of a 24 hour time lapse film.
