At the core of my work lies a preoccupation with the visual discourse of displacement and flux. I have been exploring how an implied presence, created by a defined mark can simultaneously signify the potentiality of paint, surface and history. I am fascinated by the idea of an image which has not fully departed and a new one that has not been fully formed, an inferred sphere of belonging somewhere and nowhere.
