Taking inspiration from occurrences in nature ( volcanic ash, for instance), I create lyrical paintings on paper and canvas and make three dimensional works, floating and sinking pigments in glass water containers. Depicting the ephemeral or unseen, the works are made within parameters of preordained 'rules' while allowing for the unpredictability of chance in the process.
